Schedule and send campaigns

Reviewed by Eran Betzalel, founder · 2026-09-30

Boostmail lets you send a campaign immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time, and you should always send a test to yourself first. Timing matters: the same email can see meaningfully different open rates depending on when it lands, so the dependable approach is to test send times and let your own data pick the winner. Scheduling is included on every plan, and you pay only for the emails you send.

Send now or schedule

When your campaign is ready, choose to send immediately or pick a future start date and time. Scheduling is useful for hitting peak-engagement windows, lining up with a launch or promotion, or simply preparing work ahead of time. Up to 15 minutes before the scheduled time, you can pause a campaign, which returns it to a draft you can edit and schedule again. After that, and once delivery is in progress, it is locked.

Spread a send over time

Instead of sending everything at once, you can pick an end date and daily time slots so Boostmail spreads the emails evenly across that window. This is handy for large lists, or when you want a campaign to arrive during your customers’ waking hours over several days.

Always send a test first

Before any real send, send a test to your own inbox and review it carefully:

  • Subject line, spelling, length, and that it reads well.
  • Links, click each one to confirm it goes where you expect.
  • Images, that they load and are not oversized.
  • Product details, that prices and product information are correct.
  • Mobile view, most opens happen on phones, so confirm it looks right there too.

Choosing a send time

There is no single best time for everyone. Audiences differ, and subscribers spread across time zones complicate any rule of thumb. Mid-morning and early evening on weekdays are reasonable starting points, but the right method is empirical: send similar campaigns at two different times, then compare opens and clicks in your campaign reports. Over a few sends, a pattern for your audience emerges.

Protect deliverability when you scale up

As your list and send volume grow, keep an eye on engagement, bounces and complaints. Sending relevant content to engaged segments is the best protection for inbox placement. For the fundamentals, see improve your sender reputation and make sure you have authenticated your domain so every scheduled send has the best chance of reaching the inbox.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best time to send a marketing email?
There is no universal best time, it depends on your audience and time zones. Mid-morning and early evening on weekdays are common starting points, but the reliable method is to test a couple of send times and compare opens and clicks in each campaign's report.
Does scheduling cost extra?
No. Scheduling is included. You pay only for emails sent, and the first 20,000 emails every 30 days are free.
Can I send a test before the real send?
Yes, and you should. Send a test to yourself and check the subject line, links, images and layout on both desktop and mobile before the campaign goes out.
Can I change a scheduled campaign?
Yes, up to 15 minutes before its scheduled time. Pause it from the campaign's menu, and it goes back to a draft you can edit and schedule again. Within 15 minutes of the send time, or once sending has started, it can no longer be changed.
