Privacy, data, and uninstalling

You stay in control of your data in Boostmail: your customer list stays in Shopify, you can exercise your GDPR rights, and you can uninstall whenever you choose. Uninstalling removes the app’s access to your Shopify store, and a full deletion of your stored data is available on request. This page explains each of those, and points to the privacy policy and GDPR page for the full detail.
Your customer list stays in Shopify
You’re never locked in. Boostmail syncs your Shopify customers and their email marketing consent in both directions, so your Shopify admin always holds your customer list and who is subscribed, and you can export it from Shopify at any time. If you need a copy of other data stored in Boostmail, such as contacts you imported from a file, email support@boostmail.app before you uninstall.
Your GDPR and privacy rights
If you’re in a region covered by the GDPR (or a similar privacy law), you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, and request its deletion. To exercise any of these, email support@boostmail.app. For how Boostmail collects, uses, and protects personal data, and for the legal detail behind these rights, read the privacy policy and the GDPR page.
Your own subscribers have rights too. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and an unsubscribe in Boostmail is reflected back in Shopify. When a customer asks Shopify to erase their data, Boostmail erases that contact as well. For any other request from one of your customers, email support@boostmail.app and the team will help.
Uninstall Boostmail
To uninstall, go to Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin and remove Boostmail. Uninstalling removes the app’s access to your store, so Boostmail stops syncing your customers and stops sending on your behalf.
If, in addition to uninstalling, you want your stored data fully deleted, contact support@boostmail.app and request a complete data deletion. The team will handle it in line with the privacy policy.
Before you go
If something isn’t working the way you expected, reach out before uninstalling, many issues are quick to resolve. Email support@boostmail.app and the founder will get back to you.
